Being aware of the importance of deepening the concept of free work and enhancing the skills of graduates, and the exchanging experiences between students and graduates, the Students' activities unit has organized a workshop entitled " Brilliant Saudi Examples in Labor Market" on Wednesday corresponding to 26/01/1441 AH. The workshop addresses the required skills for the labor market, the philosophy of the free work and the most salient programs offered by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development for assisting Saudi citizens get their future jobs. .
Mr. Nasser Al-Qahatani, a community college graduate, who works as a supervisor of human resources in the Middle East Company For Medical Industries, indicates that the employers are always seeking a number of basic skills in the graduates, the most important of which are personal skill, communication skills, and the desire to learn, the ability of making plans and organization, creativity, solving problems skill, and team work skill. In addition, Mr. Nasser Alshedi, the supervisor in Caribou Coffee emphasizes the importance of the free market and its need to many jobs. He also focuses the attention of the graduates to make use of the interest free loans offered by the Saudi government which support small projects and he asserts that the entrepreneurship projects incur revenues higher than those offered by the government jobs.
Mr. Abdalrhaim Al-omari, the maintenance supervisor in the University hospital emphasizes the fact that the ministry of labor and social development offers several programs which assist graduates to find their future jobs. These programs include "Tamheer Program" that targets training the graduates from Saudi universities for 6 months in the governmental organizations, and the distinguished companies inside the Kingdom and Employment Support Program that aims to improve the skills which stimulates the private sector organization to hire the graduates, as the human resources development fund is responsible for sharing the private sector organization the salaries of the employees.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Dr. Hamd bin Abdullah Al-Qumizi extend his thanking to the graduates of the college and he expresses his readiness to open communication channel with the graduates as they represent the ambassodors of the college at different workplaces .
