Origin and development:
The Applied College was established in 1442 AH pursuant to the decision of His Excellency the President of the Council of University Affairs No. (9/4/1442) dated 09/14/1442 AH, communicated to the university in a letter from His Excellency the Secretary General of the Council of University Affairs No. (32726/2/S) dated 10/21/ 1442 AH, approving the conversion of community colleges, colleges of applied studies, and colleges of community service in Saudi universities into applied colleges.
The Community College in Al Kharj was established in the year: 1423 AH, in accordance with Higher Education Council Resolution No.: (73), and the date: 02/05/1422 AH. The college was affiliated with Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University. Later, it became affiliated with King Saud University in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers, which was issued on 07/05/1429 AH, then in 1430 AH it became one of the colleges of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University.

Computer Science, Information Technology, and Computing: The college provides a number of educational and training programs in several specializations, including: programming and computer maintenance, information technology and computing, information systems, information security, network security, website design, and graphic design.
