Under the auspice of the vice rector of the University, Prof. Abdullah Al-gom'aa, Alkharj Community College hosted the celebrations of the 89th National Day on Wednesday corresponding to 3/02/1441 AH at the presence of Dr. Hamad Al-Qumizi, the dean of Al-kharj Community College, a number of guests from deans and managers of departments at the University, and the representatives of many governmental and private organizations. Police Department of Al-kharj governorate, Al-kharj Industrial and Commerical Chamber, Al-kharj Secondary School, Body Master Gym Club, Captain Gym Club, and other organizations have participated in the celebration.

The program of the celebration has included a number of events, as after playing the Saudi National Anthem, the celebration was started with reciting verses from the Glorious Qur'an. The vice rector of the University, Professor Abdullah Al-Gouma has delivered, the sponsor of the celebration, has delivered his speech in which he expressed his feelings of dignity and pride of his great nation and his gratitude for the prosperity and progress that Saudi Arabia has witnessed since its early foundation by the founder, King Abdualaziz, May Allah rest his soul in peace, subsequent kings until the flourishing era of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the custodian of the two holy mosques. Hashim Al-tamimi, the colonel in Al-kharj police departmemt, has delivered his expressive speech about the national day in which he extended his deep thanking to Prince Sattam bin Abdualaziz University, and Al-kharj Community college represented by its dean, Prof. Hamd Al-Qumizi for their invitation to attend the celebration and their efforts for organizing its program.
The celebration was divided into several sections including reading some national poems that express the sense of belonging to the nation. A video addressing the 2030 Vision was displayed and " the Nation Operetta" was presented by some distinguished students from the college. The Students of Al-kharj secondary school have presented their outstanding contribution through some national songs and some national poems. A student also has delivered a message of Nation love written in English. A karate show was displayed by some students. At the end of the celebration, al-arada national dance (sword dance show) was performed. The celebration program included an exhibition that showed the distinctive participations of the students, women section.
Dr. Hamd Al-Qumizi, the dean of Al-kharj Community College has delivered his speech in which talked about such a great occasion that reminded us of the glorious sacrifices for building such a great nation and awoken our sense of responsibility toward our nation. He also expressed his pleasure over the effective and delightful contributions. Concluding his speech, he thanked the sponsor of the celebration, the vice rector of the university, the attendees, faculty members and staff for their salient and successful contributions . At the end of the celebration, he granted the vice rector of the university Memorial Recognition Award and he awarded some honorary awards and honorary certificates to the participating organizations and students.
