Under the auspice of the dean of Alkharj Community College, Dr. Hamd Alqumizi, the community service unit in association with entrepreneurship club organized a workshop entitled " Voluntary Initiatives and its impact on Sustainable Development" on Monday, 21/3/1441 Ah. The workshop was presented by Mr. Amash Alsebeai, the chairman of the board directors of the chamber of commerce, the general secretary of the chamber of commerce, Eng. Mansour Al-amaj. Dr. Mahfouz Aldossary, the college deputy for development and quality has started the meeting with a welcome speech, as he welcomed the guests and he stressed the importance of spreading the culture of voluntary work, which is considered to be a basic source of the sustainable development that reflected how far Saudis are aware of their important role in the progress and the renaissance of their country. He also stated that the voluntary work is basically derived from the teachings of the Islamic religion which always urge its adherents to be cooperative and particpate in charitable deeds. Mr. Amash Alsebeai, the chairman of the board directors of the chamber of commerce, remarked that there is a strong relationship between sustainable development and the voluntary work, since volunteers acted positively at different fields ranging from economic, social, healthy, to cultural. The general secretary of the chamber of commerce, Eng. Mansour Al-amaj stated that among the objectives of 2030 vision is to increase that the number of the volunteers from eleven thousand one million.
