"Characteristics of Successful Investor in The Saudi Stock Market" workshop at Alkharj community college Within Alkharj community college efforts to spread business and investing culture among students in line with the Kingdom vision 2030 that involves developing the stock market, attracting local and foreign investments, offering facilities to investors, and boosting economic growth. The college community service unit organized an online workshop titled "Characteristics of Successful Investor in The Saudi Stock Market '' on Tuesday 27/6/1442 run by Dr. Madgi Melegy AbdulHakeem, the assistant professor in the business administration department at the college. During the workshop, Dr. Melegy talked about The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) which was formed by the council of ministers decree on 29/3/1428. Tadawul is the sole entity authorized in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It carries out listing and trading in securities, as well as deposit, transfer, clearing, settlement, and registry of ownership of securities traded on the Exchange. Tadawul is the official source of information related to the stock market. The workshop covered the different types of stock market dealers and the financial instruments which are being traded in the Saudi stock market such as shares, deeds, and financial derivatives. The workshop also talked about Tadawul All Share Index (TASI). Another important topic discussed during the workshop is the key characteristic of a successful stock market investor such as learning how to read stock charts, because every company publishes its data and performance in forms of financial charts and that is why it is important to be able to understand these charts and know how to deal with them. Also, understanding the company's commercial activity, does it have a competitive feature? Is this feature sustainable? and avoid making improper conduct. The mental and psychological features of the successful investor such as ambition, planning, adaptability, discipline, patience, flexibility, and tendency to continuous improvement. At the end of the workshop, the students expressed their gratitude to the college deanship for offering such a workshop that aims at developing their skills and encouraging them to benefit from the investment initiatives and services offered by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The students activities supervisor Abdullah Alghnam assures that this workshop comes within the students activities plan which was approved by the dean of the college Dr. Hamad bin Abdullah Algomaizi who stresses the importance of implementing the students activities
