Student Rights Protection Committee

The idea of forming the Grievance Committee at Al-kharj Community College was a result of a very positive vision and deep philosophy of how important it is to cultivate into the minds of the university students the culture of claiming justice and supporting their feelings of resisting oppressions that may have befallen them, as university student represents the pillars of the future and the cornerstone in building up the contemporary Saudi renaissance. Building up the personality of the University student and developing his potentialities to face the problems, which may hinder his progress in life, has become a significant academic issue. The college draws unrivalled attention to such an academic issue and seeks to achieve it through the role of the Grievance Committee in enforcing the Chart of students' rights and duties. This chart aims to raise the students' awareness of their academic rights and services offered by the college in terms of its potentiality and how they can obtain these rights and it introduces them to the department concerned with granting those rights. It also aims to draw their attention toward their  obligations  to the college and to the university  as well  and it  testifies how the college is  not only keen  to  provide  professional academic work but also is interested in establishing close relations between student and faculty member, on one hand , and between faculty member and departments and university units, on the other hand. It also focuses on how transparent and clear such a relation should be extended among various university units with its diverse fields.
